J.P. Singh 
Ambassador of India to Israel 

J.P. Singh is Ambassador of India to Israel. He is a career diplomat who joined Indian Foreign Service (IFS) in 2002. His initial diplomatic assignments included Indian Missions in Moscow (2004-06) and Kabul (2008-12) in different capacities. He served as the Deputy High Commissioner of India to Pakistan (2014-19) and as the Consul General of India in Istanbul (2019- 20). 

At the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi, he worked in Europe West Division, Officer on Special Duty in External Publicity Division, and as the Joint Secretary (PAI) dealing with the affairs of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran from 2020-25. He served as the Chief of Staff to the External Affairs Minister (2024-25). 

He speaks English, Hindi and Russian. He is Post Graduate in Sociology.
