Internship Programme

The Embassy offers internship programmes to Indian citizens, OCI card holders and Israeli nationals for a period of up to six months. The programme offers an excellent opportunity for youngsters to learn about various aspects of bilateral relations, as well as workings of various wings of the Embassy.

Eligibility Criteria for Applying 

For internship at the Mission, a candidate must either be in the final year of an undergraduate course or possess a graduate degree before commencement of internship. Preference may be given to applicants with excellent academic track record from institutions of repute and credible recommendations from faculty who have taught/guided them in the past, and also to research scholars. An intern must not have attained the age of 30 years on the date of application.

Duration of Internship

 Interns can apply at any time of the year. The applicant will be informed about the start of their internship upon selection. Once selected, internship shall be for a period of one to six months. 

Support to be Provided

 An intern will be required to work from within the Embassy’s premises. Necessary logistical support will be provided to interns taking into account the functional requirements. No financial remuneration shall be paid to the interns. Internship programme shall neither be an employment nor the assurance of any employment with the Mission.

Internship programme and feedback

Internship programme shall include attachment with one of the Wings of the Embassy, and the intern shall have orientation session on the organization and functioning of the Ministry of External Affairs and working of the various Wings of the Embassy. A certificate will be issued to the intern after successful conclusion of his/her internship
