Launch of ‘Indian Visa Su-Swagatam’ Mobile App
The Government of India has launched a new mobile application titled "Indian Visa Su-Swagatam", available for download on the Google Play Store. The app is designed to offer a comprehensive, user-friendly platform for foreign nationals planning to visit India.
Key Features of the App:
a) Visa Services:
• Apply for Regular Visa and E-Visa
• Check Visa status
• Receive alerts regarding Visa expiry
b) e-FRRO Services:
• Access to various online Foreigners Regional Registration Office (e-FRRO) services
c) Tourist Information:
• Details on tourist destinations
• Government agencies and local amenities
d) Essential Services:
• Emergency contacts including medical, police, hospitals, and embassy information
e) Language Assistance:
• Multi-language support with text and audio features
f) Location Services:
• Optional switching on/off of location tracking
g) Fast Track Immigration:
• Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) for OCI cardholders
h) Chatbot Support:
• Answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and general guidance
