The Embassy of India invites everyone to participate in the live stream celebrations of the 74th Independence Day of India on 15 August 2020 (Saturday) at 9 am (Israel time) on its official Facebook page @IndiaInIsrael. The event will begin with a flag hoisting ceremony by the Ambassador of India HE Sanjeev Singla and the singing of national anthem. The Ambassador will read out the President of India’s address to the Indian nation. This will be followed by a congratulatory message by the President of the State of Israel HE Reuven Rivlin. The programme will also feature an Indian classical dance ensemble by Trikudhum, comprising Ayala Lev on Kathak, Dinoor Aharonson on Odissi and Yael Tal Notea on Kuchipudi. Excerpts of prize-winning essays on “India-Israel relations: A Knowledge and Innovation Based Partnership” will be read out by prize-winners.
