India’s Healthcare & Groundbreaking Solutions in the Field of Medical Devices. 6 December 2018

The Embassy of India in Tel Aviv organised a symposium on "India’s Healthcare & Groundbreaking Solutions in the Field of Medical Devices”. A delegation from India led by Dr. Hari Prasad, President, Apollo Hospitals and comprising of senior management from the Innovation and Venture Capital pillars of the firm participated in the symposium. The other panelists included the CEO of Sanoculis & Appaswamy Associates [one of the joint winners of the India-Israel Industrial R&D and Technological Innovation Fund (I4F)]; CEO of GlucoMe and CEO of Philips Electronics Israel. The symposium also witnessed the participation of representatives from leading Israeli firms/startups/venture capitalists and the medical fraternity.

 Ambassador Pavan Kapoor delivered the opening remarks and emphasized the importance attached by the Government of India to affordable and quality health care and the opportunities for Israel in the Healthcare domain in India. He also apprised the gathering on the improvement made by India in the Ease of Doing Business rankings (a record jump of 23 places from 100th rank in 2017 to 77th in 2018) in the latest 'Doing Business Report, 2019' by the World Bank.
