On 25 June 2020, the Embassy organized a yoga session led by renowned yoga instructor Ms. Maya Gross accompanied by her team and a special bansuri performance by Mr. Ron Shpatz at the Indian Cultural Centre in Tel Aviv. The event was streamed live on Zoom and all social media channels of the Indian Cultural Centre and the Embassy. 26 groups from different locations across Israel including Indian students from various universities participated in the virtual celebrations. Two groups from Indian army’s UNDOF contingent also took part in the event. Also, prominent members of the Indian diaspora in Israel like Ms. Riki Shai, owner of Beit HaIsha of Ashkelon; the Indian Jewish Heritage Centre in Nevatim and Mr. Nazeer Ansari of the Indian Hospice in Jerusalem organized gatherings at their locations to join the yoga session.
